Forever young puppy canvas

Puppy Collar Memory Canvas

The images references the size regular 20 x 20 cm

The collar is 1.5cm wide.

You know that tiny puppy collar you couldn’t possibly throw away… but it now lives quietly in a drawer somewhere? This canvas turns that little keepsake into something truly special.

I create a hand painted portrait of your dog as a puppy on a 20 x 20 cm canvas, and then carefully cut small sections into the artwork so your dog’s real puppy collar can be threaded through the canvas itself. The collar becomes part of the portrait, weaving your puppy’s real colour and memories directly into the piece.

It’s a lovely way to give that collar a second life while capturing your dog forever in their puppy days—the stage when their collar was tiny, their ears were oversized, and everything about them felt brand new.

Details:

•Hand-painted puppy portrait on canvas

•Your dog’s real puppy collar incorporated into the artwork

•Collar is threaded through carefully cut sections of the canvas

•Canvas size: 20 x 20 cm

•Best suited for collars around 1–2 cm wide (approximately 1 cm is ideal)

Instead of sitting forgotten in a drawer, your puppy’s first collar becomes part of a meaningful piece of art, celebrating those early days you wish you could freeze forever. 🐾

  • Collar sizing guide

For collars 1-2 cm wide I recommend the canvas size 20x20cm

For collars wider than 2cm I would recommend are large sized canvas around 30x30cm

For collars smaller than 1/2cm for example my chihuahua puppy was so small she worse a cat collar, you can opt for a smaller canvas size around 15x15cm

It’s important for the size of the painting to very closely represent the size of your puppy at the time the collar fit.

  • How does this work?

To create your Puppy Collar Memory Canvas, you’ll need to send me the puppy collar you’d like incorporated into the artwork. This allows me to ensure the size and proportions of the portrait work perfectly with the collar, so it looks natural within the piece and not out of scale. I also need the collar here so I can carefully cut and thread it through the canvas myself. This means any delicate work with the canvas is done by me, ensuring you receive a fully finished artwork ready to display.

  • What photo should I choose?

I recommend choosing a photo that truly captures how your puppy looked when they were tiny and full of that puppy charm. A clear photo with your dog looking directly at the camera works best, as it helps me capture their expression and features as accurately as possible. Don’t worry if they aren’t wearing the collar in the photo—that isn’t necessary at all, as the collar will be incorporated into the canvas separately. 🐾
